Pilsen is part of Chicago. It
has a rich history. People from
many parts of the world live
in Pilsen. In the 1950s, many
people from Mexico began to
move here. They came to find
work. They came to help their
families. They brought their
favorite music and foods. They
brought their traditions. They
also brought their love of art!
The Mexican American
community has created
beautiful murals. A mural is
a large painting on a wall.
You can see these murals
on schools and churches.
